McWane Science Center will celebrate Engineering Week from February 25 through February 28 with a series of hands-on activities and demonstrations designed to highlight the creativity and problem-solving that shape the modern world.

Throughout the week, visitors can take part in interactive design challenges, Tech Times sessions and building workshops that invite participants to tackle real-world scenarios. Activities include designing a disaster-response solution, completing an electrical circuit and engineering an original invention. The daily programming encourages active exploration and introduces guests of all ages to the principles that underpin engineering disciplines.

A centerpiece of the week will be the Engineering Showcase on Thursday, February 27. The event will feature local companies and schools demonstrating how engineering concepts translate into practical applications, offering attendees a closer look at career pathways and innovations emerging in the region. The showcase is designed to connect classroom learning with industry expertise and to illustrate how engineering impacts everyday life.

Guests can also enhance their visit by viewing Dream Big in the IMAX theater during Engineering Week, providing a large-format look at the scope and impact of engineering achievements around the globe.

Engineering Week at McWane is proudly sponsored by Baptist Health.
